Let's be honest with each other — brand photography isn't cheap. And it shouldn't be.
Because what you're really investing in isn't just photos. You're investing in the first impression your brand makes on every single person who lands on your website. You're investing in the imagery that fills your Instagram feed for the next six to twelve months. You're investing in the visual credibility that makes dream clients say yes without hesitation.
When you think about it that way — the question isn't whether you can afford it. It's whether you can afford not to.
Here's exactly what that investment looks like.
For the brand that needs a consistent, professional visual foundation. Studio sessions are controlled, intentional, and incredibly versatile — giving you a complete library of images that work across every platform and every use case.

When you invest in a Salt & Sol brand session you're not just paying for the hours we spend together on shoot day. Here's what your investment actually covers:
The planning call, the mood board creation, the shot list development, the style guide preparation, the location research — all of this happens before we ever pick up a camera. Thorough preparation is what makes the shoot day feel effortless.
Professional equipment, years of experience reading light and directing subjects, the creative eye that knows which angle tells your story best, and the energy it takes to make a full shoot day genuinely fun rather than exhausting.
The editing process alone typically takes [X] hours per session. Every image is hand-edited individually — color grading, retouching, refinement — until it meets my personal standard. Not batch processed. Not outsourced. Done by me, with intention.
The confidence you feel walking into your next launch with imagery that actually matches your ambition. The dream client who finds your website and immediately says yes. The brand that finally looks as good as it actually is.
— CAMERON ELLIS, Ellis & Co. Creative San Diego, CA
"I booked my session on a Tuesday and had my sneak peek by Friday. By Saturday morning I had already updated my website hero image and gotten three DMs from people saying my brand finally felt cohesive. Three DMs. In one day. Emery's work does not play around."
— WAVERLY JAMES, The Slow Brand Laguna Beach, CA
"Working with Emery was the first time I truly understood what brand photography is supposed to do. It's not about looking good. It's about looking like yourself — your best, most intentional self — and having that come through in every single frame. She nailed it completely."
— SLOANE WHITFIELD, Wellness Encinitas, CA
"I've had professional photos taken before and they always looked like me trying to look professional. These look like me. That sounds simple but it's actually everything — when your photos look like the real version of you, the right clients find you so much faster."
— MAYA REYES, Coastal Copy Co. San Diego, CA
I almost talked myself out of it three times because of the price. I'm so glad I didn't. The ROI on my brand photos has been unreal — I booked two new clients within a week of updating my website. Best money I ever spent on my business."
Why don't you list exact prices instead of "starting at"?
Because no two brands are exactly alike — and neither are their shoots. The "starting at" price reflects my most straightforward session with standard deliverables. Once we talk through your specific needs, timeline, location, and add-ons the investment may shift slightly up or down. I'd rather give you an accurate custom quote than a number that doesn't reflect what you actually need.
Is the retainer really non-refundable?
Yes — and here's why that's actually fair. When you book a date I turn away other clients for that day. The retainer compensates for that committed time whether or not the shoot happens. It also protects you — it means I'm just as committed to your shoot as you are.
Can I pay in installments?
[Yes — payment plans are available on sessions over $XXX. Reach out and we'll work out a schedule that fits your budget. / Payment plans are not currently offered but booking in advance can help with financial planning — reach out to discuss timing
Do prices ever change?
Investment levels are reviewed periodically and may increase as my calendar fills and my body of work grows. The price you're quoted when you inquire is valid for [X days/weeks] — booking promptly locks in your rate.
Every session starts with a conversation about where you are and where you're going — and ends with a gallery full of images that prove you belong there.
She'd been coaching for two years using iPhone photos and a Canva headshot. She was launching a high-ticket group program and needed imagery that matched the investment she was asking clients to make.
Location — natural light studio space with warm, organic textures
Used the full gallery to launch her sales page, update her website, and roll out a 30-day Instagram content plan — all from one shoot.
Her shop had a loyal following but her online presence didn't reflect the experience of walking through her door. She wanted photos that translated the in-store feeling to her website and social media.
Location — shot on-site in her boutique and surrounding neighborhood
Relaunched her website with a full image library and reported her highest-traffic month within six weeks of going live.
She'd outgrown her original brand and was stepping into a higher price point. Her old photos said "side hustle." She needed photos that said "this is my full-time thing and I'm very good at it."
Editorial — cinematic, intentional, styled with her new brand palette
Raised her rates by 40% within a month of her rebrand launch. Credits the imagery with making the pivot feel credible to new clients.
She was landing speaking opportunities and podcast features but kept defaulting to the same two-year-old headshot. She needed a full library that could carry her across every platform and opportunity.
Studio — clean, polished, three outfit changes for maximum versatility
Built out her speaker bio, LinkedIn, press kit, and website homepage from a single gallery. Said it was the best investment she made that year.
